Use herbs instead of salt
Eating excessive amounts of salt upsets your blood balance, making it difficult for your kidneys to remove water. According to the 2018 research from the Journal of Clinical Hypertension, this could lead to kidney disease. Unfortunately, many Western diets tend to abuse salt.
The United States Department of Agriculture recommends that people limit their intake of salt to one teaspoon per day or 2,300 mg. It’s about a third less than most people consume. Be wary of high sodium levels in pre-cooked and processed foods as this is where kidney damage can sneak in.
Do not take too many pain relievers
According to a study by the New England Journal of Medicine, the heavy use of painkillers like Tylenol causes 5,000 cases of kidney failure in the United States each year. But how much is too much? The researchers noted that the most dangerous time to take pain relievers was after fasting. If you take pain relievers with food every now and then for a headache, it should be fine.
According to Stanford Professor of Medicine, Dr. Grant Lipman, pain relievers decrease the blood flow to your kidneys. Over time, this could cause severe strain on your kidneys. Dr. Lipman says that one in five marathon runners will develop a risk of kidney damage.
Treat yourself when you get sick
The Center for Disease Control estimates that most people get two to three colds a year. While these common illnesses are annoying, don’t ignore them. The sicker you are, the more antibodies your body will produce. Over time, these antibodies can ignore your kidneys.
Do not be one of the 72% of Americans looking for work for those who are sick. Be very careful with bacterial infections such as strep throat and ear infections, as they have the highest risk of reins fatigue. Take care of yourself to recover as quickly as possible.
Don’t hold it back
Believe it or not, holding your pee is the main cause of kidney problems. Dr. Cheamandeep Bali of the Toronto Naturopathic Health Clinic told The Huffington Post that ignoring the call of nature causes many health problems. The danger of processed foods

In 2016, researchers at the University of Chicago linked poor sleep to a higher risk of kidney disease. Participants who slept 6.5 hours a night were 19% more likely to have kidney failure. The reason is that your sleep cycle tells your kidneys when to work and when to rest.
Researchers at the National Kidney Foundation say that when you wake up late, your kidneys continue to work hard. Over time, a chronic sleep disturbance can tire these organs. Remember that you need seven to nine hours of sleep each night.
Respect your prescription
The kidneys benefit from the routine. If you change your medication every day, you will reject your whole body. Ask your doctor if your medicines can damage your kidneys. Certain antibiotics are a major threat to kidney health.
Research your supplements before taking them
If you take daily supplements or vitamins, beware. High doses of certain supplements have been harmful to your reins. A 2012 review of the American Society of Nephrology identifies the main culprits: cranberry, willow bark, absinthe oil, licorice, geranium, and vitamin C.
In particular, high doses of vitamin C and cranberries increased your risk of kidney stones. If you have a preexisting condition, such as diabetes or an autoimmune problem, consult your doctor before taking supplements. Even natural supplements like turmeric damage your kidneys if combined with certain medications.
You exercise, right?
Regular exercise is not just for dieters. It is also for those who care about kidney health. The National Kidney Foundation states that exercise lowers blood pressure, improves sleep and improves muscle function. In other words, exercise reduces all of the major risk factors for kidney disease.
